The future is now with DELTACAST IP solutions!

Wednesday, November 30, 2016 - The future is now with DELTACAST IP solutions!

The industry transition to IP workflows and the sustained evolution of computer performances largely influence the broadcast industry.

Depending on performances and features expected by the application, the use of an interface card can be mandatory or a pure software solution can be applicable.

In any case, this IP revolution opens doors to new ways of thinking the broadcast production, targetting cost effectiveness, non-linear and collaborative workflows, virtualized infrastructures and cloud services.

In line with the company’s strategy of early adopting new standards and promoting them to our customers at a very early stage, DELTACAST actively takes part to this movement and proposes both hardware and software solutions.

As launched at IBC 2016, VideoMaster SDK now includes new working modes dedicated to IP video ingest and playout using traditional network cards.

The first standard implemented in VideoMaster 6.0 is SMPTE ST2022-6, and our technical teams are of course already on track to further evolutions like TR-03 support.

The VideoMaster SDK is a software interface to communicate in a unified way with all DELTACAST video cards. It contains drivers for most computer platforms, an easy to use API (Application Programming Interface), comprehensive documentation and example source codes.

Besides offering a unified working model for all use cases including DELTACAST SDI and IP interface cards, this new version allows considering more scalable systems, virtualization, and many other advantages.

While the VideoMaster SDK remains available for free, you can now also purchase runtime licenses for cardless ST2022-6 video channels support.
