DELTACAST ships out its universal dual 4K interface card

Tuesday, December 04, 2018 - DELTACAST ships out its universal dual 4K interface card

Broadcast production constantly evolves to provide a richer experience thanks to larger resolutions, higher frame rates and deeper colors.

Some months ago, DELTACAST released the DELTA-12G-elp-h 1C, an ideal solution for UHD transport over four 3G-SDI links or over a single 12G-SDI cable.

Today, DELTACAST expands its 12G-SDI portfolio with a dual 4K interface card: DELTA-12G-elp-d 2C.

Like the widely adopted DELTA-3G-elp-d 8C, this new card offers 8 independent channels supporting video formats up to 1080p.

In addition to that, the channels may be grouped four by four to support two quad-link UHD interfaces – in quadrants or as per SMPTE ST425-5.

Last but not least, two of the eight channels support UHD transport over 12G-SDI as per SMPTE ST2082-1.

Thanks to its versatility, the DELTA-12G-elp-h 2C is the ideal fit for the design of products which can be deployed in any SDI environment.

Although combining channels density and very high-speed interfaces, the DELTA-12G-elp-h 2C remains a very effective design, squeezed into a half-length and low-profile form factor, and delivered in standard with a passive cooling solution.

This new card is added to the VideoMaster SDK managing all the other DELTACAST video interfaces cards and modules. As a benefit, the porting from products like the DELTA-12G-elp-h 1C or the DELTA-3G-elp-d 8C to this new DELTA-12G-elp-h 2C is more than straightforward.
