DELTACAST expands IP collaboration with CISCO

Friday, September 14, 2018 - DELTACAST expands IP collaboration with CISCO

DELTACAST and CISCO explore further roads of collaboration in IP in the HERISSON and the VideoMaster ST2110 environments.

Amsterdam, September 14, 2018

Since more than 2 years now, the DELTACAST VideoMaster SDK software streaming solution allows developers designing IP ingest and playout products based on COTS network card.

DELTACAST commits itself to support adopters of new IP streaming technologies, with its revolutionary software streaming solution which support both SMPTE ST2022-6 and ST2110.

DELTACAST continues its collaboration with CISCO, whose history in networking will positively impact the evolution of the broadcast industry to IP-centric workflows and tools.

At NAB 2018 CISCO presented the Herisson open source project.

Herisson streams high throughput low latency media streams over IP based networks. The main goals of the project are to allow virtualization of SDI connections thereby making it both easier to develop new live video processing applications, and to allow the transfer of high quality raw video over a standard IP networking infrastructure.

To achieve this, Herisson employs many low level performance optimizations, and can produce high quality outputs for external studio hardware devices.

After the precedent joint success stories on SMPTE ST2022-6 and SMPTE  ST2110 standards, DELTACAST confirms at IBC 2018 its continued support of these solutions into the Herisson framework.

IBC is the perfect occasion to discuss how DELTACAST can support you in the migration of your products to IP. Come and see it by yourself on booth 7.C01!
