Smooth transition to IP: the first fully software-based solution for 4K video over SMPTE 2110

DELTACAST is proud to announce the release of the IP Virtual Card 2.0 which offers developers increased performances while keeping the CPU consumption to a minimum.

Compatible with any NIC, the IP Virtual Card offers the unique advantage to be the first software only solution on the market, for high-performance video capture and streaming over SMPTE 2110.

4K – and tomorrow 8K – based video transmissions require more bandwidth. The support of JPEG XS, which reduces the bandwidth by a factor of 10 to 20, enables the usage of existing IP infrastructure for higher resolution and higher quality content.

The IP Virtual Card is part of the DELTACAST roadmap towards IP, which includes software solutions as well as dedicated hardware products for ST 2110 reception and transmission.
