DELTACAST for IP or for SDI?

NAB is cancelled but the show must go on

We are all living an unprecedented worldwide health crisis. At this stage, we all know someone, from near or far, touched by Covid-19. We hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues are well and safe.

While the economic activity is obviously reduced for a lot of people, and all the big events are cancelled, you may wonder what to do for you and your business. It’s true, we are all facing a challenging time.

Maybe this lockdown forces you to stop temporarily or partially your activities or maybe you are among the lucky ones who can still work on projects and products.

Of course, we don’t know yet when and how the situation will fully recover from the new Coronavirus. Let’s consider this moment as an opportunity to think further about what we want for the future and take the chance to imagine new offers.

Today, we were supposed to be at NAB Show in Las Vegas, as all members of the TV broadcast community. We had planned to show you what we had to offer and how we could help you to realize your projects.

We may have missed the chance to build up a beautiful booth and meet you directly. But today, DELTACAST employees are still working and are available for you. And as the famous song says “The show must go on”.

Concretely, what are you missing from DELTACAST?

NAB 2020 was dedicated to two main messages :

On one hand, DELTACAST continues being the number one provider of SDI interfacing cards, and NAB  2020 was where you could discover the DELTA-12G-elp-h 4c, our latest product in the 12G-SDI portfolio hosting 8 channels with 4 of them being 12G and hence enabling 8K60 workflows, as well as the DELTA-12G-e-h 2i1c which is the future 12-channel, 12G-SDI capable, SDI card we are working on for a release in Q3/2020.

On the other hand, DELTACAST is your ideal partner to help your products taking the IP turn.

Since 2013, DELTACAST has been developing solutions for IP adaptation in the broadcast market to make these kind of migrations transparent for their VideoMaster SDK developer users.

For IP, DELTACAST always followed a parallel development approach, with in one direction the IP hardware products, as a direct replacement of a typical standard video IO card, and in the other direction the IP virtual card, a software-only licensed oriented solution.

The DELTA-ip-ST2110 10 and DELTA-ip-ST2110 01 cards continue benefiting from frequent improvements and successfully passed the JT-NM Tested Program to obtain the self-testing badge specific to this sessions, as the coronavirus outbreak made it necessary to cancel the JT-NM Tested face-to-face validation event at Houston. In parallel, DELTACAST pursues its developments on the hardware road in the direction of a 25GbE card similar to the existing DELTA-ip-ST2110 products, and on the software road leading to a new release of its IP Virtual Card later on this year.

As you would have seen on the NAB show floor, DELTACAST has solutions for you whether you go IP or SDI. We are sorry to miss you this year, and we are obviously available through other communication channels to chat with you about how DELTACAST can make your products better! Just drop us an email and we will get back to you right away!
