Deltacast unveils its compact solution for overlay and on-the-fly video processing

Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - Deltacast unveils its compact solution for overlay and on-the-fly video processing

DELTACAST introduces the DELTA-3G-elp-key 11 : a compact, single channel, hardware keyer card dedicated to overlay applications and on-the-fly processing solutions.

The DELTA-3G-elp-key 11 hosts one SDI input and one SDI output, one analog reference input supporting SD blackburst and HD tri-level signals, and a HDMI™ monitoring output. It is mounted with traditional BNC connectors, and features bypass relays for failsafe operation (power outage failover & watchdog).

The hardware keyer supports any video format from SD to 1080p and is coupled with a new processing unit allowing on-the-fly ancillary and VBI data addition, removal or replacement.

Beside this standard use case, the DELTA-3G-elp-key 11 can also be used to develop video processing software running on the host platform CPU and/or GPU.

The card optionally converts by hardware incoming YUV 4:2:2 video to RGB 4:4:4, and turns processed data back to YUV for SDI transmission. This eases GPU processing and integration with DirectX and OpenGL applications.

All those features are squeezed onto a low-profile form factor (167.65 x 68.9 mm). The DELTA-3G-elp-key 11 requires VideoMasterHD SDK v5.15 or later ; it supports AMD SDI-Link and NVidia GPUDirect technologies and can operate in Thunderbolt chassis.
