DELTA-codec family

DELTACAST is pleased to announce the new DELTA-codec family in his OEM product portfolio.

"As being a major player in PCI Express cards, both for compressed and uncompressed video standards, thus SDI as well as for ASI, it was pretty obvious that DELTACAST would be the ideal candidate to bring out this new product family mixing both worlds in one card." said Christian DUTILLEUX, General Manager of DELTACAST.

This DELTA-codec family of cards provide a gateway between ASI/SDI SD/SDI HD video interface standards and a standard PC 4-lane PCI Express bus. The first member of the family, DELTA-hd11-asi11-e, has 1 x SDI HD input, 1 x SDI HD output, 1 x ASI input and 1 x ASI ouput.

The DELTA-hd11-asi11-e is designed for quick and easy system integration with the unified OEM VideoMasterHD SDK across all DELTACAST SDI/DVI cards under Windows and Linux.

Key features of the DELTA-hd11-asi11-e are:

• Support for bit rates from 100 kbps to 100 Mbps
• Support for 188 and 204-byte TS packets
• Incoming bit rate monitoring
• PID filter managing up to 256 PID per input channel
• Incoming packets time stamping
• HD/SD SDI Features:
• Uncompressed digital video handling
• Audio embedding/de-embedding
• Ancillary/VBI data extraction/insertion
• Software configurable transmit clock
• Universal genlock : input, black burst (NTSC/PAL), tri-level sync or network
• Each channel is independent, SMPTE 259M-C and 292M (SD or HD SDI) compliant
• HD formats as per SMPTE 274M and 296M
• SD formats as per ITU-R BT.601-5 part A
• Time code management
• 256-Mbyte onboard memory
• 1/2 size PCI Express card form factor
• 4-lane PCI Express rev1.1 compliant
